Machines

Once you can link machines together, cards move around your table on their own.

Tool Mode

Right-click the Wrench to enter tool mode. Cards lock in place, the world turns grey, and machines show their ports: green for inputs and orange for outputs. Right-click one port and then another to link them. Left-click a port to cut its link.

What Makes Things

Trees, rocks, bushes, farms, and animals push what they make out of their output. Link that output to a machine and the cards travel there on their own.

Cards go to a matching filter or barrel first. Anything with nowhere to go waits by its source.

Storage

A Barrel stores up to 128 cards of one kind. Drop cards in, and right-click it to take 5 out. A Copper Barrel holds 256. Food in barrels counts at supper.

A Copper Golem walks loose cards to a matching or empty barrel, 8 at a time.

Furnaces

A Furnace smelts with coal or wood. Once it's linked up, it smelts Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Raw Porkchops, and Cod on its own. Coal is the best fuel, then Oak Logs, then Planks and Sticks.

Hoppers and Droppers

A Hopper passes cards along. Drop a card on it to make it a filter. A Dropper takes cards from up to 3 inputs and deals them out across 3 outputs.

Selling and Sending

Link a machine into the Sell box to sell what it makes on its own, or into a Bundle to send cards to your real inventory.

Autocrafter

The Autocrafter crafts on its own, no villager needed. Drop a card on it to choose what it makes, then feed it the ingredients. It has 4 inputs and 4 outputs.

You learn the recipe from the Autocrafter Idea, which can turn up on Cave trips or in a Treasure Map.
