Gateways & Bosses
Real structures you find out in the world open gateways on your table. Beat what's inside and the loot comes home with you.
Unstable Gateways
Finding a Trial Chamber, the Deep Dark, an Ocean Monument, or a Woodland Mansion out in the world puts an Unstable Gateway on your table for 3 days. Stack villagers on it and right-click to send them through. They face three waves and then a boss, and they heal a little between waves.
Win, and the loot comes home as one stack, and you learn that place's Stable Portal.
